Hi , another question i'm afraid . I have the death certificate for my g/grandfather and it states " Drowned by falling off a clay barge into the River Teign" Accidental death !
Would there be a report or record of this accident that i would be able to see ?
Thank You
Sue

Yes, the old newspapers probably have an article. I had a similar issue with my grtgrtgrt grandfather who was found strangled as a night watchman. Someone sent me a copy of the old newspaper with a long article about the incident from 1861. His death certificate showed "Visitation of God" as cause. I hope he doesn't visit me .
