Where is me?

Is my state information stored locally in cookies or is it retrieved when I log in? The reason I ask is simply... if I log in from another machine will the status of my subscribed forums and threads be correct, or will they be specific to that one machine?

I logged in from work today and then again this evening, and there wasn't really enough postings for me to work out the answer. I don't want to miss something!

It is stored in the system here. For example I am at this moment sitting in my office at Archive CD Books..... about to leave for home... and in a short while I'll be back on-line again, with everything picked up from where I left off.

ps. there is a temporary cookie saved on your computer whilst you are logged in, but you will notice that when you log out, all cookies are cleared automatically.
