    Hi Garry,
Thomas is listed as son of William & Sarah in 1824 in Bishampton and unless he married another Sarah aswell (as suggested by Sue) it is likely the Sarah on the censuses is Thomas's mother. That should be easy enough to prove.

As I stated before due to the vast age difference William was likely to have been married before and Elizabeth Russell stands a high chance of being an earlier wife. He could well have had children with Elizabeth, infact if it is the same man he did because William & Elizabeth Weston baptise Jane in Bishampton 15th March 1803. An early death of Elizabeth is not at all unusual and a widower often married again and had children with each wife. This is why I said a Will will be very useful because he may well name earlier born children.

Garry I have tried to look for a will for William.. umm sorry but the national indexes didn't start until 1853 so far to late for us.

I then look at the index of will held at Worcester Records Office nothing there either sorry.

Having checked the worcester family history center yesterday I can say this isnt the correct Sarah, Williams first wife died 1822,so its between 1822 and 1844 that he married Sarah

I have confirmed in the WFHC that Elizabeth died 1822 and the daughter Jane 1820.
