Was wondering if anyone can help me please on the death of William

William Born 1892 Royston Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire
Parents Joseph Coote n Susan Hagger of Royston
lived in royston until 1912 when apparently he went to Canada and married Philomen Chadbot around 1915,im not sure if he stayed in canada as i cannot find any death date for him here,had a daughter called Laura born approx 1916
Any help would be appreciated

If you search on the Canadian Archives site there is his attestation papers from joining the Canadian army -gives his DOB as 21/1/1892 and next of kin as wife Felix (looks like) address 318 Laurier Avenue, Ottawa.

Will see what else I can find.

Have moved this to Hertfordshire, as despite the dual counties that seem to appear on Ancestry that is where Royston is, but in the mean time Maria seems to have answered your question

ETA: No, it's the date of birth she found, not the date of birth. Will go scouting!

Date of marriage 20 Mar 1915 in Carleton, Ontario to (as you said) Phyllis Chabot (obviously army man heard Felix (!). Still looking for death.

Searching through Quebec records on A******** I found a death for a William Charly Coote in 1919 and a Catholic burial in Maniwaki. My French is only 'O' level and the writing is very spidery but it looks like "fils de William Coote and Phyllis Chabot" died aged 3 years.

Still looking for William's death.

Thankyou for looking for me,i was told there was a son called William Charly but only had that through heresay..I have tried to look for William's death and also his wife's but i cannot seem to find them anywhere...

Sorry - have looked and looked and can't find anything! Even tried to look for Laura's birth but can't find that either.

Hope someone much cleverer than me (and that wouldn't be hard!) can find the details for you. I will check back next week and if you haven't got any further I will try again.
