where I would be able to find enlistment papers for young man (born 1917)who joined the service in or about 1935.
On the death of his mother and remarriage of his father (1919) he was left in the care of Auntie Nellie? never to see his father again.
My only hope is that the missing Auntie is shown as next of kin on his papers.

Thank you...my man was long service Royal Navy. Amongst his property original photos of his ship, on which filming was taking place "The Baby and the Battleship"....and the bonus of signed original from some of the stars. Will take a little while to catalogue, but would love to be able to share then. Thank you again for invaluable help.

nannyval, I have found a marriage in 1957 in plymouth, would the bride be Heather Perry?
I cannot find any birth for Alexander, either he wasn't registered or BMD have not got to him yet.
What is it that you are looking for? is it his father? his Aunt?
Best regards Michael

nannyval,
can you give me the names of Alexanders parents if we can find them in the 1911 census, we may also find a "Nellie", maybe a sister of either parent maybe
best regards Michael
