Hello.. I am just bursting and wanted to share my joy.
I sent of for a total of 5 requests for will/probate search; as I am in Australia I decided to chance it and enclose 5pound for each search (risky I know)
I have so far received two wills back, with one of them containing so much detailed information its amazing, My Gt Gt Grandmother obviously had a way with words and was full of love & admiration for her family which shines through on this piece of paper. It describes her children and their children in great detail. It has given me more dates and names and addresses so I am really pleased. I am anxious now for the other 3 wills to arrive.

Great news! We all love to hear such good news and get a little green with envy. I hope the next ones you receive are just as helpful.

This is great news. I've yet to broach the will purchasing. It must be someting I try this year (if I can find any). I hope the rest are as useful to you.

The hardest part is reading the old secretary hand writing Jane, 'tho I've found that the more I study them the more I understand and so far out of about 14 wills at least 10 of them are the correct ones and some of the others are still family but further removed.
Hugh.
