I'm looking for a divorce c1926. The couple (both British though the wife was born in France) lived in Berlin, though the husband travelled a great deal. The husband remarried in London in January 1927 and I have the marriage certificate describing both parties as divorced. I have found his second wife's divorce on TNA but not his. Nothing in London Gazette either.
Could they have divorced in Germany?? Or would it have had to be in UK?? Is it possible to "hide" records?? Or is it more probable that the record is one of those which isn't in the index?
Grateful for any hints!
Alison

Alison, did you try variations in the name search on TNA? I have one couple that divorced in the 1950's which is past prime on TNA so I just had to guesstimate a divorce date for my tree.
Sadly, our friend Vanessa, passed away 29th. February 2012.

Hi Vanessa - yes, I tried every conceivable spelling I could think of but to no avail!
