Thomas DALLERY (born 1817, London) was a goldsmith/jeweler. He emigrated to New York from London in 1852. His father Alphonso Lewis DALLERY (born 1788, London) was a jeweler and most likely a goldsmith. He traveled and most likely emigrated to New York in 1838 from London.
In the first half of the 19th century was there a goldsmith guild which they would have belonged to? If yes, are these records available on-line or on micro-film? What other resources might relate to goldsmiths/jewelers of London?

You might look in London directories for the period. The website is http://www.historicaldirectories.org/hd/
I've had good success finding addresses and sometimes other details, such as business partners.

Hello D Troike,
First, The Goldsmiths Company may be able to help. (thegoldsmiths.co.uk/). They have been around since 1327 and may well have some records.
Secondly, have a look at this TNA Research Guide to Apprenticeships.
Good luck!
