Default Taskis family - just learning

My ancestor (great great grandfather) David Taskes arrived in Australia via Jersey in 1854 with his son Richard Ladner Taskis (aged 8). He was the son of David Taskes and Penelope Crocker (widow, nee Ladner).

David was baptised in 1815 in Paul, Cornwall and married Susan Williams on 28/6/1841 (we have a certificate) in Paul Church, near Mousehole in Cornwall. Susan was a widow but her father was given as Nathaniel Williams.

They had two children: Penelope Ladner Taskis (baptised 8/10/1843; believe died at 4 years old) and Richard (1846-1902). David died in 1881 in New South Wales.

Susan died, presumably in Cornwall sometime after 1846, as I believe she did not go to Jersey. David remarried in Jersey where David is said to have worked for a time as a stonemason on fortifications in Jersey.

I cannot find anything about Susan at all aside from the marriage certificate. Do you have any further information - birth/baptism and death would be very useful.

I have been told also that David's grandfather was Francis Taskes but know nothing at all about his grandmother or other earlier ancestors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
