I expect the best one to look at would be the Western Gazette. These days they have about 12 issues for different areas in Somerset and Dorset... the one I read is for Blandford & Sturminster Newton which is the right area for query.

I'm not too sure how many issues they had in the past at what times; I know each week they have a section with reports from the past some going back 200 years or more.

These URL's may be of help, they hold copies of the Western & it's forerunners the Sherborne Mercury and the Western flying Post from 1737

    The Westerns homepage is
    https://www.westgaz.co.uk/

    Their contact page

If you look on this page right at the top, you will find a number to call about older archives.

    Default newspaper suggestion

I take it that the accident happened at horton with woodlands, that would come under the wimborne area, so could have been possibly covered by the bournemouth evening echo.their address is richmond hill in bournemouth.

In case it helps you in the future, there is an online catalogue to the British Library Newspaper Collection
    https://prodigi.bl.uk/nlcat/welcome.asp
You can use the simple search engine to find out which newspapers were published, where and when. This may help in trying to track down reports of incidents in newspapers.

I am trying to locate two seperate newspaper reports from apparently in a paper called 'The Penny Dreadful'. Both relate to my great, great, granfather, Edward Coleman, born 1860, Shadwell, London.
The first article reports on the violent self-strangulation of his son 'Freddie Arthur Coleman' caused by a scarf being tied to the end of the parents bed. Freddie died on the 9th of November 1892 at number 74 Tarling Street, London.
The second article reports on Edward Coleman throwing two insistent census takers down the front steps of his home. They had tried to enter his home when his wife was sick in bed. The date of this article is very vague between 1888-1910.
I have tried the 'British National Library' and the 'Tower Hamlets Local Archives', if anyone can help I would be very grateful, Neil.
