Abbey Hostal, Redditch

Hi, does anyone remember where the Abbey Hostal was in Redditch?

my Great Grandfather is listed as living there in 1954.

I'd love to find where it was and see if I can hunt down a picture of the building

There is a Abbey Hotel and Golf Course now in Redditch

Could it have been built on the site of the old Abbey Hostel ?

They have a web site but it has no history on it. It might be worth contacting them to ask the question.

It was off the birmingham rd it was built during the war I will
have a look through my books of redditch to see if i can find
any info iwas born near there but left nearly 40 years ago
