    Default WALLS JEFFERY OF HAGNABY

hello, please can anyone find a birth for walls jeffery b about 1750-1755, possibly hagnaby?
walls jeffery of the parish of hagnaby married elizabeth barnfather of this parish, hagworthingham in1777. both single persons. by license.
I have 'got' walls and elizabeths children and have found walls being witness at marriages in welton le marsh in 1781, where his son thomas was born, and in hagworthingham in 1787 and 1801. elizabeth barnfather is named in her fathers will as elizabeth jeffreis, wife of walls jeffries of winceby in the county of lincoln, grazier.
I have found dozens of his descendents with the name walls and he fascinates me. he is my 4x great grandfather and I would dearly love to find a birth or baptism for him. I have googl etil my eyes have nearly popped out and his birth and parentage are my black spot.
please can anyone help????? many thanks. jane

    Hi Jane,
Walls wasn't baptised in Hagnaby 1754 onwards, nor in any of the other parishes in Bolingbroke deanery. Ditto for Calcewaith and Candleshoe deanery.
The Society of Genealogists have pre-1754 baptisms for Hagnaby, Hagworthingham, and Winceby. (BTs for Winceby as well as the PRs.) Although the parishes are on the IGI, the IGI entries are usually extracted from the BTs. In theory the BTs should be the same as the PRs but in practice they very often differ so you should really check both if possible. The familysearch site is currently having a hissy fit so I can't confirm which records were used for the IGI extractions.
You don't have to be a member of SoG to use the library but there is a search fee to pay.
The alternative is to visit the LDS London FHC in Exhibition Road, but if they don't have the film in stock you will have to order them and pay a fee for each film.
    Pam

    Hi Jane,
You can take this off now cant you? Ihad a quick look at that Atkin connection on BG, gave up at page 5, did he ever get back to 1066? May have a little bit more on your Jeffery's, but will get back to you when I've confirmed it.
    Fondest regards,
    John
