    Certainly..here's both marriages:

    Marriage - St Paul Deptford - 15 Jan 1901

Alfred John Neill, 34, bachelor, furniture dealer, 93 Napier Street, father John Neill (deceased), gardener
Harriet Agnes Lyons, 35, widow, 93 Napier Street, father Robert McClelland (deceased), pensioner

Witnesses: Annie (her x mark) Callard, James Burnard/Barnard(?)

Marriage - St Mary Magdalene, Woolwich - 27 Feb 1886

Michael John Lyons, 28, bachelor, Gunner, Royal Artillery, res: Barracks, father Patrick Lyons, tailor
Harriet Agnes McClelland, 22, spinster, res: Mulgrave Place, father Robert John Alexander McClelland, Pensioner

    Witnesses: Samuel Bright, Alice Bright

I don't see any baptisms for children of Michael & Harriet Lyons on the London Baptisms database.

    Hi Maggie,

You're very welcome. Could you let me know the answers to my two questions above?

So Harriett is the daughter of Robert b. 1836 in Scotland and Ellen b. 1837 in Oxford, Oxfordshire.

In 1881 Robert was a Pensioner and School Keeper. Harriett's sister was Elizabeth born about 1862. They lived in the School Board for London in Southwark.

I wonder if he is with his aunt if the grandparents have died by 1901

Ok, here's the family in 1891, with one child:

Michael Lyons, head, mar, 39, Gunner, R Arty, b. Manchester, Lancashire
Harriet Lyons, wife, mar, 27, b. Aldershot, Hampshire
Albert Lyons, son, 1, b. Woolwich, Kent
    Civil parish: Woolwich

    Ecclesiastical parish: St Mary
    County/Island: London
    Registration district: Woolwich
    Sub-registration district: Woolwich Dockyard
ED, institution, or vessel: Cambridge Barrack
    RG12; Piece: 531; Folio 124; Page 10

This may be son Albert's birth registration, as the middle names may be the grandfather's - Robert & father's - Michael:

    Name: Albert Robert M Lyons
    Year of Registration: 1889
    Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
    District: Woolwich
    County: Greater London, Kent, London
    Volume: 1d

Until we have confirmation of the details on the birth certificate quoted by Maggiemac, we can't be sure that Victor was born a Lyons and would appear as such on the 1901 census. And it woud be good to know when Michael Lyons died.

I agree, I have tried everything to find both Albert who would be 10/11 and Victor who would be about 4/5 in 1901.

Even searching without the surname does not seem to bring up any candidates that look really possible.

There are two Michael Lyons deaths registered in Woolwich on FreeBMD

    Age 42 in June 1896 (1854)
Age 43 in June 1900 (1857) so this one is nearest.

Hello again, sorry to be late answering...please forgive me.

Adele, I only had the census for 1891 to tell me Albert was born to Michael and Harriet Lyons, I dont have the birth certificate.I dont know if there were any other children for this couple.....except Victor????

Mutley..yes Harriet was the daughter of Robert McClelland, her mother was Harriet Ackley who died just days after Harriet was born,he then married Ellen Carr in 1865 and she died in 1886.

With the 1911 census information for Victor Lyons Neill being born 1897, I thought he must be Michael and Harriets son.

Harriets only other sibling, Caroline died in 1898.Her father Robert died 1891.

My thanks again for all your help,it is very much appreciated
