    Default Probus

I am looking to find more information on James Bennetts born 1825 Probus, need to know Father Mother etc, think his Father is Henry.

    James married Louisa Miners 20/04/1848

How do I get to use the site to find this information out?

Look forward to hearing from you

I found him, in Probus, on the 1841 Census, unfortunately he was not with his family.

ok thanks, just one thing, I'm looking for Bennetts and not Bennett could this be a mistake on the records and they meant Bennetts, or has the 'S' been added afterwards, just don't want to do down the wrong road reseaching the family tree

you will find varients of most names in your research. S at the end of a name can easily be mis-read as a squiggle and missed off in transcription.

There were Miners family members in Ladock in the mid 1800s too if that is of any use. Ladock is an adjacent parish.

It would probably be a good idea to get the marriage certificate for James and Louisa - that should give you both fathers' names and with a bit of luck, there will be related witnesses.
In case you don't have the details to order the certificate -

    June quarter 1848 Truro district
    volume 9 page 374
and the names as recorded were -
    James BENNETTS
    and
    Louisa MINERS

    Default Birth Cert

Anybody help me with how I can get a copy of James Bennetts (James Bennett) birth cert, born in Probus in 1825, possibly son of Henry & Mary Bennett.
