    What's the puzzle?
Lilian Bates married someone with the surname of Webster.
Walter V Webster married someone called Bates.

Rose D Inkpen married someone called Drew who either hasn't yet been transcribed, or who has been mis-indexed.

Added: Misindexed as page 581. I will advise FreeBMD. The amendment will show within a couple of months, possibly much sooner depending on how quickly they act on my amendment, and when the next update is due.
Sorry - Name of Bert Drew.

Miss Inkpen married someone called Drew - but Mr Drew has probably been mistranscribed because the entry for him was somehow not legible or something. Have you tried searching for him?
If you enter Drew in the surnames, Islington in district and dates from March qtr 1917 to Dec qtr 1917, you get -

    Drew Bert .... Inkpen ...Islington 1b 581

The page number has been incorrectly transcribed. Bert Drew is the odd one out on that page.
