How do you find that sort of information?

If you check the transcript for the 1871 and note the district, enumeration district number, then go back to the 1871 Wales census search, scroll to the bottom, and click on the area (Brecknock), then district name (St Mary) then you will see a list of ED's, click on description of the one found on the transcript (13 in this case) and there you go, a list of streets etc covered in that district.

Actually that is still not quite right lol, scroll down the 1871 Wales census search, click on Breconshire, then the St Mary, then the ED number.

You can also, from the Original Image View
take your mouse up to the top and click on the link for the District. You are then shown all the enumeration district schedules and can choose the one you want.

That is if you are using the Ancesspit

It is also worth using for Royal Navy Vessels as it lists the name of the ship as the enumeration district, if you wish to know all who sailed on her.
