Default Francis(Frank) Lewis' b. in 1894 lookup pls

His father was Francis Lewis born ? ? 1868 London Mayfair as relatives tell it, and his mother was Rosina Lane born ??1873 London Marylebone and Francis was born in 1894. I don't know the month or year. He died in the war in 1917. He never married and had been a butcher before the war.

    That's all I have.

    Thank you everyone.

Groom: Francis Lewis, 25, bachelor, profession: plumber, residence: 172 Gt Litchfield Street, father: Thomas Lewis, profession: undertaker

I'll do a little digging on their children and parents next.

    Mike,

Take a peek at the 1871 and later censuses for Thomas Lewis if you would, please? In 1871, there is a Frank Lewis in St. George's Mayfair district, age 3, which agrees with whom we're searching for but his father is a bricklayer at the time.

Could you see if his father later became an undertaker? Thanks ever so much.

    Default Lane family

Yes, ma'am...I'll be working on the Lanes next and our fellow I hope will track down Thomas Lewis and see if a bricklayer in 1871 indeed later became an undertaker.

Cary, the one that I found was also a bricklayer, and consequently I have not posted anything as yet whilst I search further. However I am not finding anything else yet.

This looks like the correct one for 1871 - perhaps Thomas underwent a career change.
