thanks for the "popular YOUNG lady", Geoffers. I haven't been called one of those for about ** years.
I don't know about New Year's Eve, Elaine. I wasn't around at the time. What I do know is that the night before I was born, my parents enjoyed themselves. They went to see The Three Stooges, and mam said that she laughed so loud, she went into labour. That resulted in my being born in a very unusual place, under the bed. (there was an air-raid going on)
