Brilliant Carol! How did you do that?

Some of the Bouch family obvioulsy moved into Railways. Having been at university in St.Andrew's I am very familiar both with the Tay Bridge and Waverley Station, so was very interested in reading about Sir Thomas Bouch of Thursby.

Same Capt. Sproule ( of Oxton Birkenhead) died July the same year after accidentally falling downstairs. The report (taken from the Liverpool Mercury) is in the Glasgow Herald 28th July 1865.

Someone is whispering this in my ear. Is there any way to tell him to get lost - he is dead wrong?
He says "OK, here we are stuck at home with my Captain off in China somewhere - not back for months! But I always have "Uncle Benj" who has lived here with us for years?"
So in fact maybe nobody really knew who the father was - and one did have middle name Bouch.
Is there any way to demolish such a scarrulous suggestion?
