How do you find births in Ireland when all I have is the fact they were born in Ireland from Scotish 1861 census.
John Reip born c1784 married Bridget Kavanagh born c1806
Johns parents were Patrick Reip & Mary Ferguson
Bridgets parents were Michael Kavanagh & Helen Mcana?
I have no idea how to start ideas please

Genuki - a good place to start
Everything you need to know to get started ......
The Ireland link is in the top left hand corner, but if it is your first visit it is a good idea to read the other stuff too.

A word of caution Ireland does not necessarily mean the island we all automatically think of, most times it will be but it was also a hamlet in the parish of Southill, Bedfordshire.
Cheers
