Right! This is a bit confusing
Have found Sarah in 1901.
Name Age
George Dale 57 Head
George H Dale 11 Son
George Wheat 35 Son in law
Fanny Wheat 34 Step daughter - think she must be daughter
Ada M Wheat 12 Step daughter
Sarah E Wheat 9 Step daughter
Emma A Wheat 5 Step daughter Born Odd Rode Cheshire??
Daniel Wheat 3 Step son
George Wheat 1 Step son
Class: RG13; Piece: 3351; Folio: 27; Page: 16.
The relationships are usually to the Head of the household. I think the enumerator got a bit carried away with the step. I think the children belong to George & Fanny. No sign of Lillian.
Now I have found this Sarah
Name: Sarah Ann Wheat
Year of Registration: 1892
Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep
District: Walsall
County: Staffordshire
Volume: 6b
Page: 778 (click to see others on page)
And the another one
Sarah Ellen Wheat
Year of Registration: 1892
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Congleton
County: Cheshire, Staffordshire
Volume: 8a
Page: 306 (click to see others on page)
Are you absolutely sure that your grandfather married Sarah Ellen? Could it have been Sarah Ann? If so, I think you may have bought an incorrect birth certificate. If her marriage says her father is Clement and you know this is definitely her marriage, then you have the other Sarah's birth certificate.
But I cannot find Your Sarah or Lilian on the 1901 census.
ive found clement on the 1911 census remarried, he married a Emily in 1907 staffordshire also they have him down as a widower on there marriage Certificate
The death for Jane you found in 1911 would be 4 years to late but the age is right, or do you think he said he was a widower so he could get remarried?

Just found this on the IGI, which is the info you have.
Sarah Ellen Wheat
Christening: 27 DEC 1891 Odd Road, , Cheshire, England
Father: George Wheat
Mother: Fannie
No sign of a Sarah Wheat father Clement, but that might only mean the record has not been transcribed yet...or she wasn't christened.

Gertrude MARRIOTT
This looks like Gertrude in the 1861 census of South Normanton:
RG9/2425, folio 64, page 5
Birchwood Lane
Ann MARRIOTT Head W 58 Farmer of 39 acres Derbysh South Wingfield
John do Son U 36 Miller do South Normanton
Samuel do Son U 29 Ag Lab do do
Elizabeth do Daur U 27 do do
Hannah do Daur U 27 do do
William do Son U 24 Farmers son do do
Gertrude do Grand dau 6 Scholar do do
Richard do Grandson 2 do do
+ 2 Boarders
It looks to me as if Ann MARRIOTT who is down as the sister in law to Mark CALLADINE in the 1891 census is in fact Hannah MARRIOTT Gertrude's mother as the ages fit perfectly.
It looks as if Gertrude could have become Mary MARRIOTT in the 1871 census of South Normanton and is shown as a Domestic Servant living in the household of Samuel GILL and his wife Sarah at Church Street. Mother Hannah looks as if she is living with brother William (who looks as if he has inherited the farm), sister Elizabeth, brother John and William's nephews Richard & John - no Gertrude. By 1881 Gertrude has married Mark CALLADINE and is shown as Mary Gertrude in the census and they are living in South Normanton with children Rachel Ann, James W and Emily A.
According to Ancestry, Mark CALLADINE married in the December qtr 1873 at Mansfield reg district, vol 7b, page 138 and one of the other names on the page is that of Gertrude Mary MARRIOTT - the marriage certificate might make interesting reading!!

Clement WHEAT
Further to what Sue has given you on his Medal Roll Card, Cause of Discharge looks to read:
Para.392 (XVI)
Med: Unfit
and he appears to have been a Sergeant.
