Hi all, I am trying to help a friend who isn't 'on line' to find her great grandfather Patrick Burns c.1870 possibly born in Ireland. Also her great grandmother Lilly Burns (nee Clements). They were married in 1891. They had two/three daughters, the youngest wasJulia Mary c. 1902. Julia didn't know hersisters but remembered visiting some girls (possibly the sisters) who were in a childrens home (possibly around Southwark area). My friend believes they may have gone toAmerica or Canada.
I have tried all the normal sites but to no avail. My friend has obtained several birth/marriage certificates but we can't tie up the family. Can anyone help please ?
Thanks Pearlgran
