Default Seeking information/links on ANNIS family

    Hi,

I am trying to research Annis ancestors who lived in Dean, Oxfordshire and in surrounding areas up to the mid nineteenth century at least. Does anyone have any connection to this family, or does anyone know of any information that might help me?

    Regards

    Cal.

Not sure if there is any connection but I noticed there are a couple of previous threads on the Annis family. One in Worcestershire and the other Staffordshire.

it may be worth taking a look (search Annis) just to make sure.

Default Annis Family in Upper Dean

    Michael Annis here, California USA

I am the founder of the Annis Family Association in the US and Canada Please visit our site at
    angelfire.com/mi/annisall/index2.html

I have just begun my research on the Annis Family in the UK and have had moderately good fortune on a few of the lineages.

I did find a page about the Annis and Scales families at Upper Dean at https://www.upperdean.freeserve.co.uk/uannis.htm

There are several photos on the Annis men who served in both World Wars as well as an interview with Ruby Annis, daughter of Ernest Annis who died in World War One, April 19, 1916 at Ypres (now Ieper), West Flanders, Belgium. Ernest was married and a father of three small children when he enlisted. He resided at Upper Dean, Bedfordshire.

    Hope this helps
