I am trying to find anything on my grandmother Pauline Tomassi, the only information i have is she was born in ITALY NAPLES 1987, when she died was living in DARTFORD KENT. she came over as a child and danced in the streets for a organ grinder thats all i know.

Do you mean 1887 or 1897? Have you found your grandmother in the 1901 census at all?

Do you have her marriage certificate to your grandfather, as that should name her father and help to identify her if they were over here in 1901 or even 1911.

thank you very much, i,m afraid i have not found her on 1901 or 1911 census at all a real mystery, as far as i can find out not sure if she ever married the only thing i found out is that her two children ended up being looked after by the nuns, which i am also trying to chase up .
but i will try the web site you recomend, sorry it was 1987 ,

Where exactly did she die? When did she die? What was her name at death? Who was the informant? What are the details of the children (you had better not identify them if still alive)?

Tommasi is found all over Italy. Tomassi is found mainly in Lazio where I live. Do you know her father's name? I could keep an eye open for her as I go around the little towns in the area.

what were the 2 childrens surnames ?...Tomassi ??......allan

There`s one child born 1913 ...a girl...won`t post just in case she is still alive....but she is born in Dartford an her name is Tomassi and her mothers name is Tomassi...the only one...so it looks like she had one child and then possibly married ....and the only marriage for a female Tomassi in Dartford is for Maria Tomassi.....allan
