Hi Neil,
Can you give us any more info?
Rough ages, places of birth etc. There's a number of Scottish William Davidsons listed at the TNA for the relevant period
I'm afraid it's going to be be difficult moving forward without more info

Hi.
James Davidson was born in 1785. He was a born either in Edinburgh or Glasgow, unsure sorry. He was a plasterer by trade but could be listed as a Lab.
James became a widower in 1825 while living in Edinburgh.
He is alive again and living at Greenside Edinburgh in 1841.
His son William Davidson was born in 1810 in Glasgow, he was a plasterer also but enlisted in the army in 1828 and served overseas for 8 years.
james was married to Flora McGilvray and William to isabella Graham.
That's abot it sorry.
Neil
