Just come upon Sarah's headstone inscription at Darton parish church on Barnsley FHS site. She died 1872 age 32 so you probably have found the correct death.

I know i have definitely found my charles ernest roberts in the 1911 census which says he was born in barugh green which is a small suburb of barnsley. He was married to mary elizabeth ellis and the census says she came from tryddyn my grandma clara roberts always told us that the family came from Mold area of wales, and we have a picture of her, also my grandma and great aunt are named in the 1911 census and the are living in Mosside which is where we know my grandma always told us they lived.so I know all those details must be correct.
All we know of charles ernest roberts from my family memories is that he was born in the barnsley area, had a sister they called 'auntie shaw'
But the 1911 census references (RG10; Piece 4647; Folio 135; Page 30) Barugh Green, Yorkshire) quoted above led me to think it might be the same charles ernest roberts as barugh green is such a small suburb of barnsley, the birthdate fits, but i am having trouble finding any references to them after 1871.

not very good at this geneology stuff yet as i have only just started

I am sure that this gentleman is on my family tree belonging to Evan Roberts the bookmaker. I think he married twice, once to a Sarah and Jane.

My great great grandmother was Margaret Saunders Roberts. They all have connections to Wakefield and Cheshire.
