I'm looking for the J. Synar (Syner or Sinar) who was running a regular trow service from Welsh Back in Bristol to Hereford in the 1790s. He doesn't appear to be living in Bristol so perhaps he was resident in Hereford?

SYNER
Peter,
There is a marriage on the Herefordshire Marriage Index on 23 January 1774 at Hereford All Saints of a James SINER and a Mary MORGAN. In the Notes Column appears Kings Swinford SAL - any good??? It is the only record to appear under SYNAR/SYNER/SINER/SINAR.
Lots of MORGANs in Hereford according to Hugh Wallis's IGI site but no SINERs although there are some SINERs (and variants) in Kingswinford.
Given the Kingswinford connection in the above entry, there is an extracted baptismal record on the IGI of a James SINER at Kidderminster on 15 November 1754, father Thomas mother Elizabeth??
