Please could someone help me sort out the following.
in the 1851 census (HO107/2448) I have found my g.g.g.grandfather married to Ann in Monmouthshire.
Ann was born in Berkeley, Glos.
I think her maiden name may have been Brown because they have James ,Daniel and Eddieth Brown living with them , also from Berkeley.
by 1861 census on same page as I found William and ann and family I also found her sister (maybe) a few doors away as house maid servant and now called Eddoth ( Edith?) Browning.
Does anyone know any way I can find out if these are her brothers and sister ? I can't seem to find the Browns as a family in 1841

If you are looking for Brownings in Gloucestershire, beware of the entry in Burke's Landed Gentry (1930s) for George Elliot Browning, who gives a family tree going back to the Coaley Brownings. GEB's Browning ancestors were probably from Ayrshire not Gloucestershire, & we know for a fact that the tree is wrong, & possibly invented by GEB for the purpose of establishing armigerous male ancestry!
