    Default Losing the plot!

I've just received the marriage certificate of a Thomas Simmons living in Porthiddy who seemed a likely candidate to be an older brother of my great grandfather. Unfortunately not only was he obviously not the right man, but I also realised that I sent for the same certificate about a month ago. He was wrong then too

Incidently his father was John and his wife was Rachel Owen. Married in 1861 and both born in 1821 (just in case these certs could be of use to somebody).

I'm sorry, I had to laugh at that. If I don't keep a log in a notebook of who I've sent away for certificates, I would be chasing my tail and ripping out my hair. So I commiserate with you.

    thanks for the chuckle.

I too ordered the same birth certificate twice in a month.

He wasn't mine first time round and he jollly well wasn't second time either! How inconsiderate of him.

As if this hobby isn't expensive enough.

It's good to know it's not just me.
