Smile Strugnell and Smith Families Droxford

    Hi

My wife is trying to find a record of the birth/baptism of her 5x great grand parents who were Edward Strugnell and Martha Smith who were married on 27 Oct 1761 in Droxford, Hampshire, England.
We are not sure when Edward Strugnell died as there a few entries to choose from in the Hampshire Genealogical Society Burial Index. But we believe that his wife Martha Strugnell (nee Smith) was buried in Droxford on 08 Aug 1785.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

    Regards

    Richard

    Default Strugnell's in Hampshire

    Richard

I have a cd with baptism on from 1752-1812, sorry no earlier one yet. Christenings for Edward and Martha are

Elizabeth Strugnell, 26.9.1762, Edward & Martha, Droxford (notes Shidfield)

Ann Strugnell, 10.7.1765, Edward & Martha Bishops Waltham, from Droxford etc end of yr)

John Strugnel 19.10.1766, Edward & Martha Bishops Waltham, from Droxford par, in register after 1765)

Mary Strugnell, 5.3.1769, Edward & Martha Elizabeth, Bishops Waltham from Droxford etc

Richard Strugnell 11.8.1771, Edward & Martha, Bishops Waltham from Droxford par in regisher bef 1770
Hannah Strugnel 14.2.1776, Edward & Martha Bishops Waltham (notes from Droxford par, in register at end of yr)

There was a James 1782 Martha Widow. This should help a bit in finding Edwards death. James could be Edwards if a death is near this time.

Just had a look in the burials for Hampshire and found Edard 26.4.1782 Droxford. This is most probably him. Sorry no ages at this time they didn't start until abt 1813 or around then.

There is also a Richard in Droxford at the same time as Edward. It may be worth seeing if there is any connection seeing as Edward and Martha also had a Richard 1771.

Let me know if I can help any more

    regards
    Irene
