The earlier London parish records at Ancestry are now searchable, so I had a look. I found a few baptisms; I don't know whether you have them or not.

Elizabeth Clarke, baptised 21 January 1767, St Ann, Blackfriars, London, daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth
Mary Clarke, baptised 9 October 1768, St Ann, Blackfriars, London, daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth
Francis Clarke, baptised 19 December 1770, St Ann, Blackfriars, London, son of Herbert and Elizabeth

No occupation is given for Herbert in any of those baptisms.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a baptism for Herbert or for Jonas his brother.

If you ever find baptisms for the other two children, Nathan or Nathaniel (possibly in Buckinghamshire), and Sarah CLARKE (probably in London or Middlesex), I would be very happy to know!

And thank you very much for searching Anc'y for Herbert and Jonas. It may be that for some reason they were christened under a different surname than the surname CLARKE they used as adults (the most likely scenario being a mother who was widowed and then married a CLARKE.)

Finding a burial, obituary, or will for Jonas CLARKE or the sister Elizabeth HARPER might give a hint.
