Missing Peskett marriage

I have traced my line back to Richard PESKETT (1777 Midhurst, Sussex) and Elizabeth ? (1777 Odiham, Hampshire) This information based on the 1841/1851 censuses. I have death information on both and a link via the IGI to the possible parents of Richard (Richard Pescod & Elizabeth Gates)

What I can't find is the marriage of Richard Peskett & Elizabeth ?

I believe the marriage to have been around 1800 as I believe their first daughter Ann was born in 1801 in Odiham, although their first son William was born in Godalming, Surrey in 1803. The rest of the children were born in Odiham.

It was my understanding that for the most part the marriage usually took place in the female's parish which in this case is Odiham, but I have checked the Odiham registers and can find no marriage.

Perhaps some can help me.

Check the IGI and nothing came up with parents names.

On the CD's for Hampshire I have found
Ann 20.9.1801,
Wm 20.10.1803
Geo 19.5.1805
Richard 14.2.1808
Richd & Eliz, or Richd Elizth as parents.

Sorry I can't help with the marriage.

Hi

I couldn't find a marriage for Richard Pescod or Peskett in Hampshire. Your best bet is to search in Godalming, Surrey especially as the first born child was there.
