    Hello Everybody,
    Genealogy is tough work.
James Cole & Mary Gale marriage.
James Cole is my gggrandfather. I am bewildered about some of the data here. James married Mary GALE. Her death certificate states: died 26 Feb 1884 at Auckland, aged 75 (born 1808-09?). Parents: John Gale (labourer) and Mary nee Moffett. Husbands; James Cole & James Winepress. I have NO idea why she is being presented as a Moorfoot.

Marriage of James Cole: supposedly James Cole Moss stockingmaker married Mary Moorfoot on 26 January 1829 at Sculcoates Parish, Hull, East Yorkshire. At this stage James Cole was a SOLDIER. So this marriage does not fit. Any ideas?

    Best Wishes
