Can anybody tell me where I can find the local paper for Woolwich or even the name.?
I am looking for the years 1930-1935 have tried looking on the net but have had no joy.

Hi roz1
Two other newspapers from Woolwich were Kentish Independent and Kentish Mercury, but whether they went back to the 1930's I am not too sure, but out of the two, the Kentish Independent was the main one for Woolwich.

Oh dear - I have just viewed Roy's link and I see that the Mercury was around in the 1930's the Independent coming later. Sorry about that and thanks Roy for your link, it was very interesting
