    Default Hello everyone

Hello, my name is Annabel and I have just discovered this site. I have already posted some tree queries, but I just discovered this place to say hello.

I live in Herts, and when the kids are in bed I try to do more family tree. Unfortunately, now I have found this site, the washing up is suffering.
I am following up on on the work my parents started a long time ago, having now got a pc to look for myself. I am determined to find out the missing pieces that they did not find, and people they might have missed. Nothing like trying to show your parents up is there?
I am finding this quite addictive, there are queries in my tree that have lead me to look into the lives of some intriguing people who quite possibly have very little to do with my family, but I am just too nosy to let them go. My dad always said he wanted me to be an archeologist but I don't think he meant like this

Hi Annabel - welcome to the forum!

At least researching your ancestors only involves a bit of dust from old papers and things - none of that digging in holes and getting soaked and muddy

Washing up is always an early victim of this affliction - next will be the hoover!

Good luck with your research - and I am sure you will find B-G very welcoming as well as a great place to get assistance with all those problematic ancestors (but no help with the washing up I am afraid!)

    Welcome Annabel

Either the kids will have to learn how to do the dishes NOW or you will be buying paper plates

I will tell them you told them so. Do you think they will listen?

Hello Annabel and welcome to Brit-Gen

'Tis always good to have another Hertfordshire member on board and, as MarkJ says, it will be the hoovering that goes next.

    Enjoy yourself!
