I cannot trace the birth certificate of my maternal grandmother, Edith Booth.

I know she was born in Tottington Lower End, Bury, in 1890 and the 1901 census places her there but I cannot trace her birth.

Many thanks. My mother was convinced Edith always gave her date of birth as 1890 but I reckon this must be the one. I'll send for the certificate and see.

Now if only I could find her father's birth. This is really addictive!

The census was taken in March so she would have been 11 born abt 1890 - 12 in April, May or June if this is the correct entry so 1889 is a possible.
