    Default Charles Doe 1851 census???

I am trying to trace my ancestor Charles Doe along with his parents George & Mary and siblings. They appear on the England census of 1841 - Class HO107, Piece 709, Folio 9, Page 11,
However, they seem to have disappeared on the 1851. I need to know where his parents were born on this census. On Charles marriage certificate of 1856 there is no mention of his father being deceased. His father's occupation was a dyer.

I would be grateful if anyone could help.

    Many thanks

Sorry, I cannot find them. Tried every trick I know, with and without surname.

Found a Mr. and Mrs Doe with a young Charles but they also had a Thomas and the ages were wrong as well as the occupation.

    Hi

I have had a look re censuses and so far drawn blanks. Looking at the 1841 census info though I see that George and Mary's youngest son, John, was born approx 1839.

Checking FreeBMD there is a John Doe, born Mar qtr 1840, Shoreditch, 2, 412. As I have checked FmyP GRO registers Mar 1838 -Mar 1840, and this one IS the only one for Shoreditch I suspect this is their son.

I would send for this birth certificate as it will reveal the maiden name of mother, and then you could perhaps do a search for George and Mary's marriage on the IGI, which may indicate where they were from. And then maybe find their christenings too?

    Sorry I couldn't help further.

    Regards

    Following on from Sue,
There is a birth registration for a Jemima Doe in E. Hampstead, Berkshire in Sept 1849 6/171

That might change the residence place for 1851.

Forget the above. She is living in Sandhurst with different parents.

But this looks like your Jemima
    Birth 07 Jan 1835, christening 08 Feb 1835
    Saint Leonards, Shoreditch, London
    Parents, George and Mary

    Charles Doe
    Birth 11 Nov 1832, christening 02 Dec

    William, Birth 11 Aug 1833, christening 02 Sep 1833
but Parents are George and Mary Ann

    James
    Birth 22 Dec 1831, Christening 08 Jan 1832

There are other Doe children being christened to other parents as well.
