Word to Photoshop

I have had a certificate sent to me by way of an attachment on word. I have to open word to view the certificate. I can not view, for instance, in photoshop. Any help please would be grateful

what sort of "file" is it? i.e. jpg etc

Can you not do a right click and use the "open" option ?

You should be able to open either with the default setting or "open with" if you need to select another program.

When the document is opened it is saved as (word document.)
When I right click to open the document in photoshop to save as a jpg file I receive this message " cannot recognise file extension.

The word document needs to be converted to an image file i.e. jpeg, bitmap, tiff etc. Zamzar is a free online document converter. You upload your document, and they then send the converted document to you by email.

You should be able to open the document, then select and copy the photo part of it as a jpeg.

it sounds like it might have been saved as an .rtf (rich text file). You should be able to copy and paste it into photoshop, but the resolution will be awful.

I'm lost, Why do you need it to be opened in Photoshop?

Mark's method of opening the document in Word and right click the image and paste into Photoshop is the best method, but watch the resolution.

"Microsoft word viewer" download may help may help you as it did me. But then again I am not that brilliant with the computer so I could be answering a question you didn't ask.

Easier solution - do you have a scanner? Scan picture and save it in a picture format, then do whatever you like with it.
