update avg on dialup

can anybody tell me how to update my avg 7.5 to 8.5 on dialup i get 4 hours at a time and am using windows xp i cannot find advanced setting's on my tools

I reckon your fastest download would be go direct to the Grisoft.com site but Google may give you the best site. You may be wrong about updating to 8.5 as this is a new download not an update. I get the pop up regularly but I think its a pay for this program, at my area price of 87 US dollars for 2 years usage. I am using 8.0.238 which is free but definitely a slow download on dial up. Free version I think download from Czechoslovakia so wake up early in the morning for more speed.

Don't do it!

There are warnings all over the place about AVG 8.5 messing up computers. There's even a thread on this forum.

I switched to Avira out of the UK. Slow to download on dial up, too.
