    Default school in Newton-Abbot

    Hi! My grandfather would have attended school at Newton-Abbot from about 1894 to 1900. Does anyone know how I could find the local school there and possibly getting school records on him? What could a person expect to find on a school record? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    If you search 'newton abbot school' on National Archives you'll find some names of different Newton Abbot schools that might start you in the right direction.

    I'm not sure what you'll find on the records, I guess it depends whether records still exist etc. Once you've found the school maybe the local record office can help?
