Hi
Does anyone know if it is possible to search for and access divorce records from the 1940s? Is there any way you can do this online and how much info do you need. Would two names and a rough idea of the year be enough? Also, does anyone know how long people had to wait to divorce in the 1940s? Obviously quickie divorces like today didn't exist.
Many thanks

What you ask for is almost certainly impossible. See -

You can get confirmation that there was a divorce, but not case files, from the Principal Registry of the Family Division.
