We've had the street view in Australia for quite some time now and I don't believe that burglaries have increased!! As others have said - it is certainly useful for checking out where a place is before you have to drive there - better than the sat navs unless you have the very latest maps!!!
I've been looking forward to it starting in the UK - it means we can cheat the airlines out of the air fare and re-visit our homeland at the minimum cost - OH has already taken a memory trip to where his grandparents lived - I wish they'd hurry up with Dorset!!

The camera cars are in Winnipeg. I came face to face with one this morning as I turned out of our street..

Not wanting to miss an opportunity for fame, or is that infamy ?.... I paused the truck long enough to allow them to get a clear picture.

If they blur my face, I will be most upset as I put on my best smile..

Did you have the B-G logo in plain sight so we would know it was you?

You wouldn't think they'd be filming Winnipeg in a flood.... I guess they want you to recognize your house as it floats downstream.

It's coming to Edmonton and Calgary but bypassing Red Deer
. You can get a decent pic of our house on google earth anyway.
Sadly, our friend Vanessa, passed away 29th. February 2012.
Life is brief. Time is a thief.

Last week I was playing around in Street view and found my car parked outside the care facility where my grandson lived. Could even see my dog in the car. Lucky he was looking away or his face would have been blurred

Mine too! The day they took the satelitte image the neighbour was burning garbage in his burn barrell. A little too much detail

I looked up my friend in Yorkshire's house shortly after she moved 2 years ago and asked her about the small lake nearby and she wondered how I knew about it!! No secrets anymore.

Well secrets remain if they remain quiet and inside behind locked doors and closed blinds. Can't rely on the back yard anymore, no topless sunbaking there with that satillite passing over head. Once though, in a memorable MSN chat, had a person almost convinced that if she went outside her house in canada and waved at the sky, I would see her on the google earth image I had of her house. Sad thing was though, what gave it away eventually was that it was night there and so she said I wouldnt see her if she did.
