I'm hoping someone can help demolish one of my brickwalls.
Thanks to help from this forum, I have traced my 4xgreat grandfathers, William Vicars, marriage to Sarah Lock on 2nd October 1776 in Brackley, although in 1801 their youngest sons christening was listed Vickers not Vicars.
What I can't find is a christening record for either Sarah or William, Brackley being close to the Oxfordshire and Warwickshire borders I've tried there without success.
Can anyone lend a hand?
Cheers

William VICARS
There is a baptismal record on the IGI of a William VICARS on 5 May 1754 at Little Horwood, Bucks (not that far from Brackley), father John - perhaps worth considering.

Thanks Folks
I don't know why I'd discounted Buckinghamshire, once you look at the map it makes sense. At least I have something I can cross check now.
