    Hi

Not sure if this is the right one but a Charlotte Capell married William REDDIS (note spelling) 14 Aug 1815 Broughton, Northamptonshire. (IGI)

Broughton is quite away from Byfield and Bugbrooke that is what is puzzling me, why go all that way to get married (Thinking out loud here) unless they ran away.

    Regards Sandy

PS have found most of them on the Census and marriages if you want that information as well.

    Good Morning
Thankyou Sandy & Southistle for replying!

This was where we got confused.... William & Charlotte Reddis & Roddis ....same dates different places ? maybe there were 2 families?

Sandy, if you could put the census & marriages up, we would appreciate it.

On Thomas's death certificate he lists born in Byfield & been in Australia 40 years.

Thanks again for the quick replies! : )

The baptisms found in the IGI for Bugbrooke are correct, but in the parish register there is additional information.

The place of abode for all is Byfield, and William's occupation is baker.

    Morning

Two families!! No housework will be done here for ages!

Byfield is right we are sure, & William was a Baker (as was Thomas).
I found a piece on the internet saying
William Roddis of Byfield, a Baker, Dealer & Chapman went bankrupt July 14 1829! (bet it was him)

    So I think we have a William Roddis b 1795 d 1879 Rugby married a Charlotte Capell b 1796 d 1869 Rugby.
    Married in 1815 Bugbrooke.
    Children
    William c 1818
    Thomas c 1821
    Mary Ann c 1826
    John c 1826
    Joseph c 1835
Henry c 1835 9 years difference between John, Joseph & Henry.

Sandy, will check out Capel Austin & Austin Capel & try to piece it together, the Capels must be ours : ) (unless its a common name)

Southistle, thanks for verifying the baptisms, where do I find the Parish Registers? any extra information is great here

    Thankyou again for your help
