    Default st josephs rc church walsall street wolverham

    hi, im looking for any info on a st josephs rc church walsall street wolverhampton ie; when it was built how long it stood for and when it was demolished any info whatsoever is welcomed...kev

    The only one that I have been able to find is in Merry Hill. Have you tried the Wolverhampton Archives to see if they are able to help?

    The church is not mentioned in the 1904 Kellys and indeed there is no sign of it on the 1901 OS large scale map. In the 1924 Kellys it is listed as being served by the clergy of SS Mary & John snow hill, not far away. In 1940 it has Rev.Gordon Hunter as priest

    As well as the archives at St Chads in Birmingham the people at St Thomas in Walsall have an in depth knowledge of the local Catholic church records.Maybe they can help.
