    Smile bagley grave new moston manchester

    hi
    i wonder if anyone can help me i am trying to locate my grandfathers grave but i am having no luck whatsoever
    i know he died at home in new moston
    his name ERNEST LEVI BAGLEY
    died 1969 aged 79 (registered dec quarter)
    i have tried all the local cemerties and they cant find anything for either a burial or even a cremation
    has anyone else got any clues on how to locate it
    i do know it was local as my mum did tell me that but where ?

    What religion was your grandfather? It may help to narrow it down a bit.Also take a look at
    www.manchester.gov.uk./opservices/bereave/

    Ann,
    Have you tried Blackley cemetary ?
    There is also a stonemasons called McGarry`s in moston. He may have some record of it.

    going to try manchester central library now and trawl through the newspapers i think

    Hi ann,
    I hope you don`t find this a little morbid but he may have left his body to Manchester Uni for research. The bodies are usually cremated within 2yrs. with a service.
    Don`t know if I should have mentioned this, but it`s a consideration

    hi everyone mystery solved !!!!


    i finally soved the mystery this morning i went to county records and trawled through the papers and i found it
    he was cremated at blackley crem in october 1969 i even tried them first ha ha
