I found my gggf buried with his in-laws, as luck had it in St Chads.
Try these if you have not already.

Ormskirk Burials
Can anyone please help?
I have found relatives connected to the Independent Church on Botanic Road in North Meols. However, this church does not have a graveyard. Can anyone please tell me where people belonging to this church are likely to have been buried? Is there a cemetery nearby?
Thanks
Lorraine

The nearest churchyard would be St Cuthbert's (Churchtown/North Meols); however once the council-owned cemetery opened many folk were buried in Duke Street Cemetery. If you post the names/dates you are looking for I can check if they were in St Cuthbert's (and that will eliminate one place)?

Ormskirk Burials
Thanks SeaCopRimmer
I am trying to find the date of death of my Gr Gr Grandfather,Hugh BARTON, born 1856. He married Mary WINROW in 1876. I have traced 11 of their children but believe there may have been more. An uncle thinks he may have met Hugh in the early 1930's, he remembers an "old" man from Southport, but cannot be sure it was Hugh. I have a possible DOD for Mary in 1917. I do know that they were both alive and producing children in 1900! I have received from North Meols FHS a parish register for St Cuthberts but the deaths covered are too early. I do not yet have access to Lancashire on the 1901 census with findmypast.
Thanks

Have checked the St Cuthbert's registers (for marriage and for burials) and neither Hugh nor Mary are listed; this would lead me to think that they are probably buried in Duke Street Cemetery (aka Southport Cemetery). To find out you can call Southport Crematorium (01704 533443) who keep the burial registers for all 'public' cemeteries in the Sefton area, but you do need a year of death before they will do a look-up?

Ormskirk Relatives
Thankyou very much SeaCopRimmer for checking for me. Will have to do some more digging on that one. Thanks also for tip re Duke Street, will try there when I have found a date for Hugh's death! Good luck with the Rimmers. From what I have seen, there were about as many Rimmers as Bartons in the Southport area for a long time. The same 4 or 5 surnames all seem to have inter-married in the past!
Thankyou Lynne. That is my Hugh and family. Will help enormously
. Now trying to find the other 11 of the 22 children he supposedly had!
