    Default Thankyou BG Forums

Thank's to BG Forums i have found a link i never thought i would.
I posted a query on Licensed Victuallers, Innkeepers re my 4 x gt grandfather, Simon Shilstone who ran the Full Moon pub in Bristol and had a reply from a lady who said he was her 4 x gt grandfather as well.
She has been a mind of information to me and has helped me out re my 2 x gt grandfather William Nelson Shilstone who left England to live in India. He was a mariner and arrived in India in 1836. He married twice and i have now had contact with the family from his second marriage who came back to England to live.
So my thanks to all concerned, especially Denise. It is wonderful to find family connections.

What a wonderful story Jennifer! It is so exciting to hammer down the bricks and meet the people in the story. Hopefully you will have filled in a lot of blanks and may your good fortune keep going forward
Sadly, our friend Vanessa, passed away 29th. February 2012.

Nice one! Always good to hear when someone manages to knock down one of those brickwalls!

    That is great news, Jenny

I am so pleased that you have been able to find out about your 4 x great grandfather - as well as make contact with a distant cousin.

That is what Brit-Gen is all about - breaking down those brickwalls and helping each other to do it.
