Hi,
I need help on Dulwitch College.
I am looking for christening of
Caroline Eliza FURNELL 1815
James FURNELL 1822
Ellen FURNELL 1824
And burial of Helen FURNELL, born 1818, deceased young, probably before 1824.
Thanks
Al

Our very own Parish Chest sell the Dulwich College Register 1619 - 1926
"This Register covers the years 1619-1926 and gives excellent biographical details about the scholars including their date of birth, the name of his father (or guardian) and the dates of entrance and leaving.
In addition it contains lists of school staff and sporting teams, as well as historical notes about the school and an alphabetical name index. Compiled by Thomas Lane Ormiston."

May I just underline that the college chapel was available for the use of all the locals whether or not they were associated with the college (although the extent of the estate in the early 19th century meant that most of the locals were at least tenants)
For ancestors who lived in Dulwich, it's always worth checking the college chapel registers before resorting to the 'proper' parish church (the ancient parish would have been St Giles, Camberwell).

The FURNELL family was not associated with the college.
Later their children are christened in St Luke, Norwood.
Could some one living next Dulwich take a NP of above christenings in chapel register ?
Thanks
Al
