    Talking Bridgett

    Hello,
    I'm researching my surname Bridgett. I believe they were miners that moved up to Co. Durham from Derbyshire. The 1851 census records say they were from 'Somercotes' Derbyshire, other records say Alfreton, or Church Gresley.
    It's still early days, and I don't know the area at all so, would love to hear from anyone who is researching the same surname.

    I have Bridgetts from Alfreton in my ancestry. John E Bridgett moved from Alfreton to Chesterfield in about 1860. I live just north of the Alfreton area and know it quite well.
